The Kiss

In Francesco Hayez' The Kiss everythings is said and and

nothing else seems of importance. When yesterday France

and Italy had been fighting against eachother today a young

couple can break the order. The Kiss is unifying them and

makes them forget the rivaleries of before.

After the French Revolution, new reforms had trickled down

into the deepest corner of Northern Italy where some voices

welcomed, others instead expelled revolutionary dreams from

their ideas...should Italy become a servant of French caprices

or should they bow down to 1789's changes?

Whatever way Italy will take, these young hearts already found

theirs, unified and absorbed into the deepest passion, a moment

of peace and the inner desire to simply kiss...

Los locos años 20 y su Jazz

Quiero hacer un pequeño homenaje a los años 20 y en concreto al estilo musical que nació en New Orleans a finales del siglo XIX y al que con el tiempo y la edad se aprecia con mas intensidad.

Los locos o "felices" años veinte se caracterizan por un ambiente festivo, lleno de originalidad, extravagancia y vanguardia. Es admirable la capacidad de sus contemporáneos para olvidar o esconder el sabor agrio y las dificultades que se sufren en tiempos de postguerra.

Desde Buenos Aires a Berlin pasando por Madrid, Paris y los oscuros y alegres clubs de barrio norteamericanos, todos sacaron sus instrumentos y su arte para dar a luz o al menos criar con tesón músicas como el Tango, el Charleston o, por supuesto, el Jazz. Es la época de los Cabarets, Moulin Rouge, Coco Chanel, la ley Seca, Dalí, la Bauhaus, Betty Boop, Al Capone y Louis Armstrong.
